The chauffeur will provide historical-geographical information throughout the itinerary, from the spectacular locations of Naples to the wonderful nooks and crannies of the coast. Embark on an unforgettable private tour to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi, or Positano Amalfi and Ravello (to be announced at the time of booking) departing from Naples or other locations (at extra charge). A private driver and exclusive vehicle will be at your disposal during the 8/9 hour trip. Explore enchanting Sorrento, renowned for its historic charm and narrow streets, magnificent views of the Bay of Naples, and inimitable lemon gelato. Continue to Positano, a picturesque town known as a vertical city for its conformation, as a city of love for the amount of couples who spend their honeymoon and also known as a city of women’s and men’s fashion. Then continue on to Amalfi rich in history and culture. You will have free time in each town of 60 minutes. Immerse yourself in the village of Ravello, a medieval town known primarily for the music of the famous German composer Wagner, who wrote part of the famous opera “Parsifal” right in the gardens of the beautiful Villa Rufolo, which can now be visited. Stops are planned to take photos of the best views and linger on the beauty and folklore of the characteristic places. Lunch is not included in the price but the driver will recommend the best place to enjoy the best dishes of the Amalfi Coast.
There is a stop at a “Limoncello” factory along the way for free tasting of the Coast’s famous liqueur, limoncello cream and limoncello grappa.

It is the best way to get a complete overview of Naples in a short time. This guided tour is private, takes about 2 to 3 hours and includes transportation by car or van.
This tour is perfect if you want to have a brief guided overview of the historic center of Naples and take beautiful photos of the city. You will use pickup from your hotel, port, train station, or a central location.
Your first stop will be at Naples Cathedral, which is the city’s main church and the seat of the Archbishop of Naples. It is generally known as the Cathedral of San Gennaro, in honor of San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples. You will then see Santa Restituta, which is the original 6th-century early Christian church on the site where Naples Cathedral now stands. The church was rebuilt and incorporated into the cathedral when it was built in the 13th century and is now a magnificent addition to the cathedral complex.
You will head to Piazza del Municipio, where the Castel Nuovo, also known as the Maschio Angioino, built by the French Anjou family, stands. Stop in the Posillipo area on the terrace of the Church of St. Anthony, from there you will have the best view of the city and the gulf. Then, you’ll head to Piazza del Plebiscito to see the front of the Royal Palace, the beautiful Church of San Francesco di Paola with its neoclassical style, the Umberto I Gallery, and the San Carlo Theater.

Explore the ruins of Pompeii
Approximately 3 hours to explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii, with recommended visits to the main attractions such as the Forum, the excavations of the residential and public buildings, the Great Theater, the excavations of the baths, and the famous Villa of Mysteries. There will be an opportunity to rent an audio guide, or take a local tour guide (about 2h).

Lunch Break
After visiting the ruins we will head to Vesuvius, which is a short distance from the ruins, so there will be an opportunity to stop at a restaurant located at the foot of Vesuvius, to enjoy the famous pizza or a good pasta dish.

Excursion to Vesuvius
When you arrive at the base of Vesuvius, you will be given tickets already booked by the company and a small bottle of water will be provided.
• Prepare comfortable shoes as the hike can be challenging.
• Dedicate about 2 hours for the hike up to the crater.
• Enjoy spectacular views of Naples Bay and the surrounding area as you hike along the volcano paths.
• When you arrive at the crater, take in the breathtaking view and admire the energy still emanating from this active volcano.

Return
After the excursion to Vesuvius, we plan to return to Naples or the next destination.

Climb first to the top of the imposing volcano Vesuvius. Walk around its extraordinary crater and enjoy panoramic views of Naples below. Two hours will be given to climb up and down the crater. After that you will be given the opportunity to stop at a restaurant not far from Vesuvius to enjoy a good pizza or enjoy a good pasta dish. We will then head to Ercolano.

Spend your time exploring the Villa of the Papyri, one of Ercolano’s most luxurious residences, famous for its library of charred papyrus scrolls. There will be an opportunity to rent an audio guide, or to hire a local tour guide.

Arrival at Pompei
Begin the tour by exploring the Forum, the political, religious and commercial center of Pompeii. Continuing on, you can see the Temple of Jupiter, the Temple of Apollo and other important buildings.
Afterwards, it is possible to head to the excavations of private houses such as the House of the Faun, the House of the Tragic Poet and the House of Menander to get a glimpse of the daily life of Pompeii’s inhabitants.
It is then worth ending the visit with a walk along the main streets such as the Via dell’Abbondanza, admiring the frescoes, workshops and baths along the way.
When the visit to Pompeii is over, free time will be given to enjoy a good pizza or pasta dish. Then it will be off to Erclolano.

Ercolano
